Rare 1880's sowerby carnival comport. This rare piece is a two part example
of a Sowerby comport with a seperate tri-footed stand. The dish has pierced basket weeve sides. The pierced base
has the Sowerby peacock mark. There are a few minor chips to the underside of the footrim on the dish (not visable when
displayed) this does not detract from the overall piece. I have never seen this shape in carnival glass! diam.
