Superb 1949 Meissen blanc-de-chine horse bust sculptured by Erich Oehme

Superb 1949 Meissen blanc-de-chine horse bust sculptured by Erich Oehme.  This impressive piece of meissen is a representation of the famous Lipizzana show horse 'Maestoso Petra' modelled by Erich Oehme.  It is fully marked with two Meissen backstamps-one impressed and the other underglaze blue.  It has two cancellation marks denoting it's factory grading, as there is a small glaze free area on the cheek occuring during its manufacture.  There is a point of damage that I will mention for accuracy- a glaze nip (now enamelled over) that is about 0.5mm and almost invisable to the eye.  A truely fine and lovely piece of sculpture by a world class artist.  The plinth is all original.  Signed and dated by Erich Oehme 1949.
